An experienced A-Professional (KSS Level 4 Head professional), he passionately provides golf lessons for both beginners and advanced golfers.

With a rich history of teaching at various golf courses since 1984, including renowned clubs such as golf club Kleiburg, golf center Amstelborgh, golf club Lelystad, golf club de Pan, golf club Anderstein, Golf & Country club de Biltse Duinen, and last but not least, golf club Kasteel Engelenburg, you are in experienced hands with us.

Training

At Engelenburg Castle Golf Course, beginners and advanced players can take private lessons. During a private session, our PGA golf professional Wytse van Esveld can effectively improve your swing in a short period of time. A razor-sharp analysis is followed by knowledgeable advice that you will enjoy for years to come. You can book these private lessons directly with Wytse. Wytse is best reached in the evenings.

2-day course - Golf Promotion

Discover the fastest, most effective and economical way to obtain your Golf Skills License (CFP) or Handicap 54 with our CFP/Handicap 54 Weekend. This intensive course takes place on our golf course over two full days, where you will be part of a small group of up to 10 participants. Course dates are flexible: you can choose between Thursday and Friday, Friday and Saturday, or Saturday and Sunday. During these days, you will receive comprehensive instruction on all aspects of the game of golf, including chipping, putting, pitching, proper swing techniques, etiquette and safety rules.

The course begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until about 4:30 p.m., with a theory exam at the end of the first day of the course. You also have the opportunity to participate in an optional 2-hour theory course at the end of the first course day, including soup and sandwiches for €35.

What the course covers:

– 2 days or 12 hours of golf lessons

– A track lesson

– Use of loaner materials and practice balls

– A summary of the Rules of Golf

– Practice exams from the Dutch Golf Federation

– Theory exam fee of €60.

– € 79 for the registration of your Handicap until the end of the year, including the application for your NGF Course Permit and provision of your NGF pass.

The total cost for this comprehensive two-day course is only €249 (normal price €349). Driving range

The driving range at Castle Engelenburg Golf Course is public and open to all. If you turn right just before the gate or entrance to the estate, you will automatically reach the driving range. Here you will find 14 covered tee-off spots. The driving range is located on the site of the house’s old vegetable garden, once surrounded by walls to protect the garden plants. Right next to the driving range is a practice area for pitches, which is also publicly accessible.

The driving range is open daily from sunrise to:

March to 6 p.m.
April to 7 p.m.
May through August until 8 p.m.
September to 7 p.m.
October to 6 p.m.
November through February until 4 p.m.

Please note that maintenance work is performed on the driving range every Monday and Thursday morning until 9 a.m.

For hotel guests, members and green fee players, the use of golf balls at the driving range is free of charge. Other guests can use the facilities of the driving range for a fee of €5.00 per person per day. Payment at the golf reception at Engelenburg Castle.

Putting Green

Within the lush gardens of the English castle, special areas have been created to practice your putting and chipping skills. Amid ancient red beeches and next to a quaint tea house, you can focus on your short game. The putting green is located near the tee of the first hole and is freely accessible. This provides an excellent opportunity to refine your putting technique before starting the real thing.

The chipping green, which once served as the green of the ninth hole, now provides a perfect setting to practice your chipping and pitching techniques. While exercising, you can also enjoy the beautiful flower borders that beautify the area. An ideal way to improve your skills while surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the gardens.
